36 Days of Type 07 (2020)
36 Days of Type is a project that invites designers, illustrators and graphic artists to express their particular interpretation of the letters and numbers of the Latin alphabet. 36 Days of Type started in 2014 as a personal project from Nina Sans and Rafa Goicoechea.
The concept was SIMPLE - to create(FIND) the letters and numbers I could use only cylinders(CIRCLES) of the same thickness. I could manipulate them by: moving, rotating and scaling(uniformly in two axes). Crucial for me was to make each letter/number as UNIQUE as possible using this MINIMALISTIC process, NEGATIVE SPACE turned out to be very helpful in this matter. The whole process of designing letters/numbers was very inspiring and learning for me, it was kind of an EXPLORATION.
