Self-initiated project developed with the intention of creating letters, experimenting by using the crochet technique.

 

The logotype was designed during a calligraphy and lettering workshop held by Oriol Miró with Laura Meseguer.
I enjoy sketching using a brush. I find it helpful for defining some basic construction principals of the lettering.

After selecting a version from my sketches I started redrawing them using a pencil and tracing paper and thinking of ways of refining the calligraphy.

My third step was to digitalise the selected version that informed and defined the final version of the logotype.

My crochet letters don't follow a certain pattern. As a general method of construction I take into account the proportions of certain letters and try to reproduce them.
