A stay-at-home mom came to me wanting to create a logo based on the names of her twins, William and Sara. Her plan was to create a brand and then figure out what her product would be afterwards! Not knowing the exact product, nor the audience was an interesting twist on the traditional logo process. I did know she wanted the logo to be bright and playful. With curious zeal, I explored iconography from children's toys, bubble gum wrappers, and other objects of inspiration. In the end, she chose the logo with the two overlapping circles since it conveys the idea of twins.
When printing the business card, I chose a very thick, matte bright white paper cut in a square and listed her information under the logo. This gave her the option of using her cards as product tags by simply punching a hole in them and attaching a ribbon. This double-duty solution worked great for her in the end!
