At the beginning of this year, Save the Children asked me to create some illustrations in order to use them during their activities for children, whom are accommodated at young care centers, after arriving to Spanish coasts running away from violence or poverty in their home countries.
A principios de año Save the Children me encargó materiales de ilustración para sus actividades relacionadas con los niños y niñas que llegan a las costas españolas huyendo de la violencia o la pobreza en sus países de origen y que son alojados en centros de menores.

One of the activities is about learning the names of the areas of the center in different languages. Illustrations were created to be printed in different sizes.

As with the center areas, another activity is to learn ordinary professional roles in different languages.

Multicultural characters
Within the interactional process between kids and professionals, family information is tried to compile. In this activity, the kids create their own family trees with characters that can be stuck on the Baobab using a magnet.
En el proceso de interacción entre niños y profesionales se intenta recopilar información familiar. Esta actividad consiste en que los niños crean sus propios árboles genealógicos con personajes que gracias a un imán pueden pegarse en el Baobab.
Geography and football
A different way to learn geography was creating magnets with the Spanish League badges. The kids stick each badge on a map on the correct city.
Una forma diferente de aprender geografía fue crear imanes de los escudos de la liga española para que los niños peguen en el mapa las ciudades que le corresponden.
Migration rutes
Another one of the learning processes for the kids is getting to know where they come from and where they have reached, how they did it and recognize all the places they have gone through.
Otro de los procesos de aprendizaje de los niños consiste en conocer de dónde vienen y hasta dónde han llegado, en qué medios y reconocer todos los lugares que han atravesado.
