Montclair State Offers Several Scholarships in the USA

Experienced in retail operations and as a volunteer, Erik Helverson is a dean’s list German student at Montclair State University in New Jersey. Erik Helverson is partially financing his education with $1,000 from the Anita Magistro Udell Scholarship for Language Majors.

Founded in 1908 and honored by several publications as a leading institution of higher education, Montclair offers a range of scholarships. Recipients must be enrolled at Montclair to qualify.

Two of these scholarships apply to the University of Graz in Austria, which is affiliated with Montclair. Two Montclair undergraduates can receive Sister City scholarships that pay tuition, housing, and a stipend in Graz. Also available is the Erasmus+ Scholarship for two students from Montclair’s business school or its College of Science and Mathematics. And social science majors are eligible for the $300 to $800 Harold S. Sloan Trust Award.

Language majors can apply for the previously mentioned Udell Scholarship or the Peter Balsamo Scholarship of $500 to $1,000. They can also apply for the Margaret B. Holz Award of approximately $500. In addition, awards of $500 each are given by the Dugan Scholarship for foreign study and the Polly and Greg Dell’Omo Global Studies in Math scholarship.
