You know what’s way WORSE than having no one successful to model after?

Note: I’m not talking about modeling after your favorite star when you shoot trash in the can and scream “Kobe!” ….. or when you jump from the free throw line, tongue out, and dunk one calling out “Like Mike”.

I’m talking about someone you can actually engage with and spend real time with — someone that you would consider a mentor that gives you advice.

Not having that support and counsel is tough, but at least you have control of your life outcome still — there is something that is wayyyyy worse that doesn’t give you control of your life.

(At least subconsciously competent)

So I’ll ask again —

While in reality — what they’re giving is only as good as their UNDERSTANDING of the situation.

Which OFTEN is damn near ZERO, without intent of ever trying to understand it either..

2. The second 33% of your time should be spent with your biz partners 🦸🏽🦸🏼 and your competitors🦹🏻

AKA — People at your own level. Try to GROW TOGETHER with your partners. Look towards your competitors to see what they are doing RIGHT and WRONG.

Use that knowledge to grow your own business. 💪

3. Last 33% keeps the cycle of growth flowing by GIVING BACK to those below you 🙏

You must helping others. It’s your moral responsibility to help keep this cycle in flow by mentoring our next generation.

The most important things is to always take ownership by remaining responsible and accountable for your WINS & LOSSES.

The 33% of time spent with people above you is for you to grow, not get dragged up, the same way you wouldn’t expect to drag up the people who look up to you.💯

Always remember — that there is no such thing as TRULY “self-made”.

Like Isaac Newton said: “everyone stood on the giants’ shoulders before them.”

Saying you can make progress by understanding their lessons success lessons shared & learning from the mistakes someone else made.
