WHY
I believe that by creating urban spaces, that have been made special, It is possible to make people who uses the spaces feel that they are worth creating something special for.
WHAT
This project is a re-design and a re-programming of an old sports area belonging to a school in Copenhagen. The School is located in a socially tough and multicultural neighborhood and the starting point was to create a project specifically made for this site and its many and diverse users.
The Idea was to create a public urban space in shape of a forest, with clearings where in a range of different activities can take place. In addition to the creation and planning of the site with the forest the project contains a custom designed furniture range, a fixture and a lighting strategy all focusing on safety, function and identity.
