WECM - Rebranding
WECM is an engineering company, which help companies with cutting-edge Mechatronical expertise and technological solutions.
The main goal of the project was to represent the company as strong and dynamic. The key element in this case is the simple, bold and clean symbol. The name WECM is an acronym for "We Create Machines" , so I wanted to use the name as an inspiration and also to preserve the main elements of the old logo. After some thinking and sketching I ended up with the symbol then started tweaking it.
I also wanted to highlight the origins of the name WECM as it is an acronym for "We Create Machines", and that's exactly what I made in the video/intro.
All images belong to their owners and aren't used for commercial purpose.
For the colors, we tried many pallets and none of them was perceived well by the company, until we found this color pallet that we both found fitting for the brand.
For the pattern, when I got a moodboard from the company I noticed a lot of pictures related to 6-sided polygons for some engineering reasons, so I made a pattern out of it which is also our good ol' honey pattern so I tried making it a bit different, more recognizable and spacial for the brand.
