'mistress'
Our daily life is full of history.
Symbols, objects, and things all have their own background and story to tell.
I am interested in the history of the clothes and the social connections between the
woman and the history of fashion. As fashion is aware of life, it is an indicator for
social circumstances. In my current work, I remove the body to leave the clothing to
breath on its one. This gives the garments their own stature and platform to release
their former objectives. The clothing being manipulated in these images come from
typically feminine textures, patterns, and styles. By using conflicting objects with
feminine fashions together in an image, the objects bring out an ambiguity in both
pieces. Combining the history of female fashion, fought with social belongings and
structures, the clothes are finding their own space.
