Our mission with the White's Chapel Projection Map was to create an incredible experience for not only their church members, but people from all walks of life. The church is very prominent in Southlake, TX and can be seen from the main street that runs through the city.
A laser map was created of the entire building which was then translated by Alford Media into Vector Works files. We translated those schematics into 3D extrusions to build a 3D mockup of the front of the church. Once the model was built we were able to create 3D lighting and shadow effects that matched real-life lighting. When these artificial shadows and lights were projected onto the building the church looked as if there were real spotlights and objects on the building.
The music was created by the church. Our role was to storyboard and create a presentation that would play many times per night and attract curious crowds.
