Suffragists Centennial Ride

The year 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of a woman's right to vote in the United States.  To celebrate the occasion, a national motorcycle ride has been planned with multiple start points, each culminating in Washington D.C. on the same weekend.

I learned of the event's planning in 2017 and threw my hat in the ring with a few early t-shirt designs based on the logo above. (That's what they used until I got in the way.)

Women's suffrage is the right of women to vote in elections. Beginning in the mid-19th century, aside from the work being done by women for broad-based economic and political equality and for social reforms, women sought to change voting laws to allow them to vote. Wikipedia

Passed by Congress June 4, 1919, and ratified on August 18, 1920, the 19th amendment granted women the right to vote.

Color palettes were taken from history itself.
Eventually, they chose the bold and simple design below, from there, my relationship has grown and in the final run up to the ride (TBD on Covid cancellaton), I have helped to produce everything fro marketing one-sheets to actual t-shirts. More to come as the summer progresses.

Bold and Strong, Yet Intricate and Simple
