Thomas DeFranzo is a Windsor, Connecticut-based mechanic and entrepreneur who owns and operates Tommy's Twin Mill Garage, where he builds award-winning hot rods that resemble Hot Wheels die-cast toy cars. A fan of Massachusetts-based professional sports teams, Thomas DeFranzo counts the Boston Bruins as his favorite National Hockey League (NHL) team.
Despite the fact that the 2019-20 NHL season has been postponed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, teams are still permitted to sign free agents. On March 26, 2020, the Bruins bolstered their organizational depth at defense by signing Jack Ahcan of St. Cloud State University. A 22 year-old native of Savage, Minnesota, Ahcan scored seven goals and added 18 assists for 25 points this past season. He also served as the team's captain.
Ahcan registered 103 points in 144 games through four seasons at St. Cloud State and is only the third defenseman in team history to reach the 100-point mark. He played for the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in the US Hockey League before joining St. Cloud State, and recorded 44 points in 56 games during the 2015-16 season. He has a great hockey IQ and strong playmaking abilities; one NHL scout referred to Ahcan as a "modern-day defenseman."
