This project was selected for the International Contest "Azores Comb Art Camp" which aims to create new projects of pieces made in wicker and develop new functional objects in this material.
Wicker is used in Portuguese antique craft techniques and was the core of this challenge, in order to stimulate the creation of young designers putting in direct contact with the process of local craftspeople in Azores.

"Lustre" was produced in 2010 during the artistic Residency in São Miguel Island, Azores.
Designed specifically for this contest, takes the form of a noble house's antique pendant lamps and the traditional monumental palace's chandeliers, to integrate a new dimension and matter-space. The presence of this sculptural lamp, is designed for large and big spaces, although, conceptually claiming to achieve a lesser luxurious dimension, being more natural and easy going style by the use of wicker.
