This project was based on "The Myth of Sisyphus" by Albert Camus where the different aspects of the absurd are explored. In Greek mythology, Sisyphus is condemned in pushing a boulder towards a mountain top, watch it roll down the hill, only to repeat the same action for eternity.
Sisyphus' eternal task is comparable to society's conformity to meaningless routines and how humans are constantly seeking to find meaning to an absurd existence.
This work adapts a wall clock to portray the Myth of Sisyphus as the figure attached to a pointer, incessantly ticking and pushing a rock in a never ending loop.
The figure is composed of collated images of the multiple associations that people online give towards the idea of Sisyphus. Whether they see Sisyphus as strongly built or a suited working person, all of these were attempted in being included.
