Design Book Spring 2019
This book was a project for a visual communication class at USFCA. Our assignment was to design a book based on a historical and impactful graphic designer–mine is based on the Swedish designer, Armin Hofmann. I started by making a mockup of the accordion style book, so that I could design each page and decide on an overall layout.
The goal of the project was to use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to create an aesthetically pleasing design. I tried to incorporate a minimal color palette with only one font, Helvetica Neue. I chose to do this so that Hofmanns work wouldn't be overpowered. Helvetica Neue also seemed like a good decision because Hofmann was a fan of sans serif fonts.
