CLIC is the first salt shaker to guarantee the controlled dispensing of salt enabling a reduced salt consumption beneficial to health while still allowing optimal enjoyment through properly seasoned meals. By operating the lever, 50 mg of salt is evenly distributed over the food, making overly salty meals and excessive salt intake a thing of the past. To protect the salt from contamination or clumping the CLIC features a special mechanism which always keeps the salt reservoir hygienically closed.
The design goal was to give the CLIC a valuable look and feel that matches its special abilities. The aesthetic appearance of salt crystals is reflected in the shape and is embodied by the integration of the lever that can be operated with one hand. The design allows easy cleaning from the inside as well as from the outside. The scratch and impact-resistant, BPA-free, food-safe plastic supports the functioning of the mechanism through its sliding properties.
