I'm currently working with Aaron, a local entertainer in Portland, to develop his brand identity. I've collected some snapshots here to show how we're crafting a specific attitude and visual message.
The best things start as scribbles on paper.
Type tests to give us a starting point for building a logotype.
Elements inspired by vintage live entertainment promotion. Adjusting pieces to give some levity and energy to the design.
A summary version of the color tests we considered against the brand traits and values. The palette is a mix of hues dominant in hand-painted stage posters, and cautionary signs.
Directions we compared to peers in Aaron's market, visually similar brands, and symbols found in the performance environment.
WORK IN PROGRESS: I'll update this page as we finalize and build out the touchpoints for Aaron... The Extraordinary!
I help people envision their ideas so they can show them to the world. Effective communication is the core of my work, ranging from overall branding to refreshing individual materials. So whatever the scope of your work, we'll find a solution that's authentic.
