R.P.Shiny mano ramya created RUB-EL-HIZAB in 2019.
She began the brand after an research on the craft and noticing the discussion, intricacy and complication the craft could bring. RUB-EL-HIZAB is based on Kashmir,India and the products are available at number of stores across India

WHY THIS CRAFT!!?
The beautiful Pinjrakari that for centuries decorated Kashmir’s mosques, shrines and some government building may soon be a thing of past as very few people take up the trade.
(The fall of the most intricate of the interior designing crafts in kashmir is also attributed to it being labour intensive and expensive)
RUB-EL-HIZAB
The Rub el Hizb is a Muslim symbol, represented as two overlapping squares, forms an eight pointed starPinjrakari is a craft where majority of the motifs and patterns are inspired from eight pointed stars.
In Islamic iconography the star is a regular geometric shape that symbolizes equal radiation in all directions from a central point.
The Rub el Hizb symbol is used in Arabic calligraphy to mark the end of a chapter.
