The container started out with shapes and form that is found in the space it was made. The line drawings of the rooms is layered, modified as perceived by the viewer in an attempt to draw the forms and shapes created. Those shapes is then made into sculpture that represent the two concept of expansion and compression. The two idea is interpreted as a non-binary form that can go either way, but the juxtaposition of the two provide evidence of the perception of expansion and compression.

The container incorporates the feedback created by the previous sculpture that the expansion and compression seems like a stop framed explosion that is about to happen. The container contains one of the sculpture(compression) and imagines the sculpture exploding out of a box that is suppose to contain it. In some way, the sculpture is containing parts of the box, continuing the discussion of the non-binary of the term container and the contained.

While creating both the sculpture and container, the relationship of light between the two interests me a lot. To experiment upon it, I tested a few ways of how light changes the way the forms are perceived. The results brings up the question, " Can we contain something that is not physical, in this case, light?" In a way, it is not only containing light, but also the absent of which. The shadows casted projects on the forms of which also reflects light. Once again, creating the discussion of the non-binary.
