Portable Air Purifier - Emotional Performance
Philips Intern Project - CMF driven design
This is one out of three conceptual portable air purifiers I made for Philips in The Netherlands during my six month internship at the CMF department. The goal was to understand the existing CMF directions and explore how they would be applied to a new product range and drive the form, material, colour and even function of the product.
It’s no secret that this is the version for the tech-lover. In order to reach a feeling of excitement I added a conceptual function, where the HEPA filter changes colour depending on the current air quality. The filter is visible through the rods and communicates the function straight to the user, it’s a new take on the trend of transparency and visual feedback.
It comes in four colour variations that are connected to the CMF direction, including a limited edition in anodised aluminum.
