A Visual Meditation Guide

After practicing guided meditation for a few years, I found myself becoming more and more distracted by the audible voices. I loved having guided sessions, and the instructional cues were great too, but occasionally the spoken words would break my concentration. And because I still saw value in guided lessons, I began creating my experimental designs and animations. I found that this technique could also be used to guide the breathing, substituting audio cues for visual ones—minimalistic designs created for the sole purpose of guiding each breath. For myself, I’ve found this experiment beneficial and have enjoyed the technique during mindfulness sessions. It has become a portion of my meditation practice, and perhaps the designs and animations could help others. It is available to anyone interested.

Focus on the breathe using the visuals as a guide.
