The new and exciting warehouse and distribution center of the Dutch "Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt" in Houten.
Since 1567 the Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt is responsible for the production of the Dutch coins. In the mean time they are delivering coins to over 70 countries world wide.
Being situated in Utrecht for many years, they have found their new home in this amazing landmark in Houten. Designed by Wastiau & co architects from Belgium, the warehouse looks like a massive gold brick. The golden color on the outside was specially made to match the colours of the Euro coins.
The building is almost complete (estimated completion was march 2020 but due to the world wide pandemic problems this wil be delayed a bit) and looks amazing. It's a new landmark which is visible from far away.
With the outside almost complete it was time to photograph this beautiful architecture with the right conditions. I'll definitely come back when it's complete.
