Sarah Richani is a Lebanese artist working between Zurich, Switzerland and Beirut, Lebanon. She graduated 2018 from the American University of Science and Technology in Lebanon, with BAs in Interior Design and Fine Arts.
From 2015 till 2016 Sarah worked as a designer for the national NGO Society for Protecting Nature in Lebanon (SPNL), which among many environmental missions also promotes sustainable use of resources with people. Sarah helped designing ateliers for women who still create and cherish old crafts, traditional to their backgrounds through the "Hima approach“, a project implemented by SPNL. Moreover, during that time she strongly supported women in creating their own products and designs.
From 2016 till 2018 Sarah worked as an art teacher at the Lebanon High School (LHS), where she not only inspired young students with many exciting artworks but was also responsible for designing and decorating school halls and stages for seasonal occasions, art and science fairs, and festivals.
From 2018 till today Sarah is a full time artist in Zurich, Switzerland and in Beirut, Lebanon. In her art Sarah mainly tackles topics in relation to history, culture,and societal issues.
