Bawang Putih Bawang Merah is a popular folktale from both Indonesia and Malaysia.
It's a story about being kind and tolerate to one another in family.
I created a children picture book by using this folktale and my own typeface.

I'm required to create a display typeface for a children picture book, Bawang Putih Bawang Merah.
The main character is Bawang Putih, an honest, kind and friendly girl.
Based on these characteristics, I used script typeface because it is flowy and friendly which fits and suitable for children.
Sanserif typeface
Bawang-book
For the body text in the book, I created a sanserif typeface with additional swash based on Museo typeface.
This is to continuous the Bawang typeface.
