Womens Fall Winter 2010 Collection
This collection was developed into 2 themes, both playing on Woolrich's heritage and the way that heritage is repurposed for modern life.
The first theme, Modern Heritage, mixes the outdoors-y patterns and garment details with a stark, urban palette to show how utilitarian clothing has become popularized for city use. More luxurious fabrics aid in blurring the boundary between clothing that is 'beautiful' and clothing that is only 'functional'.
The second theme, New Outdoor, illustrates the opposite trend, wherein clothes used for outdoor pursuits are becoming more sophisticated. This theme used a hunting inspired palette of mallard and petrol blues and deep greens inspired by Pennsylvania evergreens.
The Fall Winter 2010 Collection marked the 180th year anniversary of Woolrich. Certain limited edition items were introduced for the anniversary, and are noted below.
