Louis Colbert is a luxury street wear brand inspired by the French fashion revolution led by King Louis XIV and Jean-Baptiste Colbert. Clothing had long served in France as one of the most visible markers of social privilege and aristocratic status, so it is hardly surprising, then, that fashion was and is deeply affected by the course of revolutionary changes.
THE LOGO
The logo is a commission by calligrapher Nike Carreon who is based in Chicago, Illinois. The minimalist bold calligraphy depicts the Louis Colbert person who isn't afraid to stand out among the crowd in comfort, luxe, and style. With the tagline, The New Monarch, Louis Colbert aims to rise above one's ambition to become great at what they do.
THE COLOR
The maroon color is often used to represent intense and passionate things like; confidence, creative thoughts, excitement, power, risk, passion, love, ambition, courage, strength, warmth, and beauty.
