Instead of completely reinventing a food steamer, I wanted to simplify and improve on what already existed. This project was completely user driven and had to be kept simple. The product is marketed towards users who are visually impaired but also the broader market for users who are not. This project was inheritently user focused and the design is based thourough user research and testing. This project post provides a good overview of the process and project.

During research lekue really stood out as a strong brand identity and they represented what I really wanted to achieve in a brand identity. Lekues design philosophy was passionate and uplifting and it showed in their functional and simple products. They use materials in a very clever and interesting way, thus they were a good choice of a company for a domestic kitchen product.
