Just a Few Lines
I was honored to have this book on display at Philadelphia’s city hall in the fall of 2019, in the exhibit Variations of the Artist Book. My book celebrates the lost ritual of hand-written letter-writing. And my mother’s 80th birthday. The lines of writing were cut from letters she sent to me after I left home for college, then arranged and decorated to form a narrative poem which can be read like an accordion book or vertical tapestry.
