I took my girlfriend to the far edges of Norway for her to see the Northern Lights for the first time in her life. We spent 30 days on the hunt - well beyond the Arctic Circle.
We crossed all of Norway, camping out in the wild with our Campervan “Ally” from Oslo to the Lofoten Islands, through Senja and Tromso. We bathed in ice-cold rivers, became experts in building campfires and starring at the stars at night - always on the lookout for the Aurora Borealis.
It turned out to be one of the most challenging trips I did so far - fighting with subzero temperatures and the frustration of playing hide and seek with the Aurora.
