White U has a unique silhouette and structure, it controls light to create a surreal and calm interior environment
Many ideas to explore an unique architecture and silhouette for future Lexus
The main idea of this project is that, the cabin is wrapped by this shapeshifting outer shell, the outer shell changes its shape while creating new Lexus brand signature, it also controls how much light going into the cabin, thus controls the interior environment.
Spindle grille of Lexus now becomes part of the architecture of the vehicle, connecting four wheels to the cabin.
Shape shifting outer shell is made of "e-Rubber", a next generation rubber material developed by Toyoda Gosei
