Proyecto realizado en el 2019 por invitación de la cantante mexicana Regina Orozco.
La consigna básica era trabajar el arte y diseño del Digi Pack de su nuevo disco, "Pedazos del corazón"; en mancuerna con la también famosa cantante cubana, Omara Portuondo. El disco rendiría un homenaje a dos compositores mexicanos, Agustín Lara y Álvaro Carrillo, Regina quería que éste reflejara la fusión la cultura cubana y mexicana, pero que sobre todo transmitiera el encanto del trópico, los colores y arte popular mexicano, de ahí que las bases de color fuera el Rosa mexicano con su color complementario, el verde. La artista tenía en mente el cuadro de las dos Fridas, y se hizo una rei nterpretación del mismo buscando un concepto paralelo a la intención narrativa del arte original, el resultado fue, una representación surrealista en la que las dos amigas y cómplices del canto, dentro de un contexto selvático son invadidas por el verde del trópico mexicano en una representación surrealista exenta de dramatismo en contrasentido a la narrativa visual del cuadro original, en esta nueva interpretación se funde la música, la fantasía, la cultura popular y la artesanía mexicana.
Project carried out in 2019 at the invitation of the Mexican singer Regina Orozco.
The basic request was to work on the art and design of the Digi Pack for her new album, "Pedazos del corazón"; in collaboration with the also famous Cuban singer, Omara Portuondo. The album would pay tribute to two Mexican composers, Agustín Lara and Álvaro Carrillo, Regina wanted it to reflect the fusion of Cuban and Mexican culture, but above all to convey the charm of the tropics, colors and Mexican folk art, hence the Color bases were Mexican Rose with its complementary color, green. The artist had in mind the painting of the two Fridas, and a reinterpretation was made of it looking for a concept parallel to the narrative intention of the original art, the result was, a surreal representation in which the two friends and accomplices of the song, within a jungle context they are invaded by the green of the Mexican tropics in a surreal representation exempt from drama in contradiction to the visual narrative of the original painting, in this new interpretation music, fantasy, popular culture and Mexican crafts are merged.
