Algunos escritores nos marcan mucho en nuestras lecturas, leer sus obras es una manera personal de intentar comprender sus motivaciones, intereses e ideales. De ellos existe un grupo siempre particular, ya sea por la vorágine a la que sucumbieron o al horror y la locura plasmada en sus obras, los escritores suicidas.
Suicidium es un proyecto ilustrado dedicado a la literatura y a sus representantes fatídicos, que vieron en la escritura la mejor opción para apaciguar sus demonios internos. Destacan poetas, novelistas y narradores de todo el mundo, la selección de los autores es en su mayoría a lecturas personales y el tratamiento de cada uno de los retratos es una muestra de cariño al acto de leer y a la necesidad de brindarles un reflejo ilustrado, en una versión muy personal.
El trabajo de cada pieza me ha servido para tener la libertad de experimentar con nuevas técnicas, fusión de capas y pintura, así como total acceso a las galerías de filtros. Me importa mucho jugar con la percepción ocular y sugerir formas, más allá de solo representarlas, la literatura siempre es un gran motivo para aprender y disfrutar.

Some writers mark us a lot in our readings, reading their works is a personal way of trying to understand their motivations, interests and ideals. Of them there is an always particular group, either due to the whirlwind to which they succumbed or to the horror and madness embodied in their works, the suicide writers.
Suicidium is an illustrated project dedicated to literature and its fateful representatives, who saw in writing the best option to appease their internal demons. Poets, novelists and narrators from around the world stand out, the selection of the authors is mostly personal readings and the treatment of each of the portraits is a sign of affection to the act of reading and the need to provide them with an illustrated reflection, in a very personal version.
The work of each piece has given me the freedom to experiment with new techniques, blending of layers and painting, as well as full access to the filter galleries. I really care about playing with eye perception and suggesting forms, beyond just representing them, literature is always a great reason to learn and enjoy.
