des alten Hafens. Für das architektonische Kunstwerk diente die isländische Natur als Inspiration.

Die Elemente von Lava, Feuer, Eis, Silbergestein und geothermische Quellen fanden ihren Einklang in der Gestaltung. Die äussere Fassade des Gebäudes wurde von dem isländischen Künstler Olafur Eliasson
entworfen. Die Umfüllung besteht aus einer wabenartigen Struktur aus dichroitischem Glas und ist für
Licht durchlässig. Je nach Tageszeit und Wetterbedingungen wird das Licht reflektiert und erinnert an die Lichtstimmungen der Insel Island.

The elements of lava, fire, ice, silver rock, and geothermal springs found their harmony in the design. The exterior facade of the building was designed by the Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson designed. The filling consists of a honeycomb structure made of dichroic glass and is Light permeable. Depending on the time of day and weather conditions, the light is reflected and is reminiscent of the lighting moods of the island of Iceland.
