CD illustration inspired by 'per se'
This was one of my student project during my BA illustration course. I created 6 illustrations which were inspired by songs of
Per se. Per se is a poetic pop music duo band in Hong Kong, consisting of Stephen Mok on guitar and Sandy Ip on the keyboard. I love their music arrangements as well as their story-telling lyrics. So I chose 6 of my favourite songs and created illustrations with packaging. Gratefully I received Per se's appreciation and I am happy that they like my work.
The concept was about perception. The album named 'perceive' , all about how we look at the world and our lives regarding to the song lyrics. I chose penguin as a symbol because they used to fly up in the sky but they evolved to swim diving into the sea. It made me remind that we face our hard times everyday to make a living rather than chasing dreams.
Don't forget your dreams. I hope everyone can finally catch their balloons and fly.
