Zora is a young woman living in America in 1920, traveling with the Geoffrey Brothers Circus as a sideshow freak - the Amazing Tattooed Woman. Her character is originally from Russia. After World War I, times were hard in Russia. There were serious food and fuel shortages, and winters were brutally cold. When the circus came to Petersburg in 1918 , Zora fell in love with Bobby, one of the Geoffrey brothers, and ran away from her family to join the circus. Bobby soon began tattooing Zora so she could make money as a sideshow.
