Le Hong Phong, a High school for the Gifted.

Le Hong Phong High school for the gifted - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

It's been 3 years since I last took pictures of this school. It's been a while...
Lê Hồng Phong High School for the Gifted (formerly known as Petrus Ký High School) is a highly selective high school in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Established in 1927, it is one of the oldest high schools still operating in Vietnam, famous for its very high teaching quality and achievements.

This school's students achieved many prizes, including Intel ISEF, National Gifted Students' Competition, and more. As part of the Ho Chi Minh city's team of National Gifted Students' Competition, I had a chance to study in this school for 3 months.

I wasn't a "native" student here, but I still admired the traditional look and beauty of it. So I borrowed my friend's Nikon D7000 and tried to take as many pics as possible.

All the pictures were taken in late 2016.
You could actually see some details look like they're from French architecture. These details make up a unique look of this old, historic school.
Lê Hồng Phong was the second General Secretary of Vietnam Communist Party.
Occasionally, some foreign schools from Japan would visit here, and I was lucky enough to meet them that morning!
I hear that this classroom has been destroyed, because it was too old.
Some of these infrastructure has been replaced since last year.
Cute!
Some panoramas.
This is the Five Tree Yard. Because... you know, there's five trees planted on top of it.
This yard means a lot to many students here, as they tend to gather around and play, talk or even date. Also, the trees give students shade (which is very nice!).
Note: COVID-19 is out there. Be safe!
Thanks for viewing! Give a like if you like it :D
