West Wickham Forest Shoot

On the 2nd March I went to West Wickham common to shoot. The food I planned on shooting was a victoria sponge cake and the idea was to make it like a 'desert picnic'.

I wanted a fairly rustic look for this so i styled the jam on the cake so that it was overflowing on the sides and made it so it has an almost dripping effect on the top. I also scrunched up the napkin, so it seemed more like it had been in someones bag, however i think i did this too much as it started to look slightly unneat. 

I think in terms of the images the shoot went well however I feel that I could have had more props to get the idea across better. such as having a picnic basket somewhere in the image and maybe some pillows just to make it seem like the cake would actually be served and eaten. 

Which i tried to get across more in the slice image. 

overall it went well i just feel, with more of a budget i could have dressed it up a lot more.
