Comissioned by the end of March 2013 by SUB25 magazine, this is an illustration that didn't make it to the final.
The illustration part was supposed to meet a text that was about 10 different short movies. The art direction for this job was between: 1. one single big illustration about all the 10 shorts; 2. 10 different illustrations, one each/short movie. In the first stage we tried out the first version - one single one page illustration.
The actual idea for the illustration came up from having to combine 10 completely different topics at the same time, each one of them unique in their own way. The encyclopedic collection character of Cabinet of Curiosities felt like the right way to tackle this subject.
