Miss Universe Philippines - Capiz
I was asked by the Miss Universe Philippines-Capiz committee to create a logo and visual branding concept for their team. This was an unfinished and uncommissioned project with them.
The logo was greatly inspired by the original Miss U logo where a woman is seen holding up her arms to the stars. I localized it by integrating the shell and giving a kind of "mermaid" tail to the female figure which is symbolic of Capiz as the seafood capital of the Philippines.
As for the patterns and vectors, I made sure to keep them light and elegant by only using lines and strokes, while consistently showing wave patterns and lines which denotes the seas of Capiz, as well as the textures and patterns of shells.
