For a long time I've wanted to do an earthy//minimal magazine mockup. Since my time working at Aesop I've discovered the thrill of trying to evoke the olfactory senses simply through a design.
The classic brown, glass Aesop bottle paired with a straight forward, sans serif label has been extremely in-fashion over the last few years. During my time in South Korea walking the streets of the world's beauty central- Myeongdong, I noticed many beauty and skincare boutiques will replicate the Aesop branding to sell skincare products. Regardless of their philosophies which Aesop is so highly regarded for. A design that is strong enough to remind the client of a smell, a part of the world, or even a point in time is something I find fascinating and have attempted here for 1950's in Japan.
Anyway, this is a $400 lamp I really want. ; _ ;
