There is a lot of situations that you can interpret on challenges in your life.
The main thing - is not to lose your head in the process.
In our story both are winners

The location for this video, that I have chosen, was the desert. Did you hear about World Creator handy think I term to creating your unique landscape? But I also noticed one important thing,  you need to clearly imagine your world and scenes where all your actions will be a pass by. As a base, I've chosen - Salar de Uyuni. Great base for beginners, as it was my second full 3d animation, so the easy way was in the palm of my hand. White reflective plane on the bottom, hdri sky-touching it on the horizon and slowly flows into reflection. Nice? Sure, just combine it with procedurally generated rocks, add an asphalted track some details, and here we go, you can walk with the camera and look for your best frame shots!
Storyboard

The story here have a three stages which is introducing our models and environment, quick start, as we see one car immediately took the leading and during the time second one is follow competes and even drags the leading to their side in a moment. The main idea was to show pure draw in the end so the cars that we see being synchronized.
Simulating was one of the most challenging parts here. I used Turbulence FD by jawset for simulating tire burns. These are fully professional plugins that widely use in cinematography. To say all VDB frames in total was more than 90GB in total heavy. The smoke emitter was the tire surface like in real life and also important thing was to keep the car body as a collision object in relation to smoke voxels to achieve smoke cloud proper deformation ones the car started.
