Welcome to Chicago:
Capital of Midwest

Chicago Reader reached out recently and commissioned me to come up with a concept and illustration for the cover of their 3.5.2020 issue "Chicago: Capital of the Midwest. They asked me to combine the urban, industrial and agricultural elements of the Midwest together somehow. I decided to approach it as a Rubik's cube of-sorts. I really enjoyed this project: it was fun working in the framework of an isometric design for the first time and I got to slip in a bunch of little details and inside jokes
