Tawko is a humanist sans serif typeface.
It embodies visual attributes regarding direction and visual texture to communicate the character of the font.
Process started with creating a visual library from which I could understand how different visual elements can give character and form to letters.
After deciding attributes, hairline structures were created to understand the letter structure better.
Since this was my first typeface design project, I decided to keep the weight same throughout the letterform in order to solely understand the structure without the play of thick and thin strokes within a letterform.
Visual attributes were then adopted, modified and redefined as per different letters.
This is an ongoing classroom project.
