NOW NOW Media Platform

This is a theoretical university project that was a self-initiated brief. 

An Afro-centric media platform called NOW NOW that publishes a physical magazine.

The concept of the media brand and its magazine is based on the practise of defracting; stitching different pieces of work together, that may speak of different topics, but create a body of work to discuss and deliver one message. 
This concept is fundamental to the brands identity and attitude towards inclusivity. 
NOWNOW publishes a bi-annual magazine that focuses on the categories of 'Artist', to showcase and curate a selected artists work. 'Opinion', to discuss Afrocentric theory and critique. And finally, 'Interview' where an individual who has made significant expression of creativity on relevant topics is showcased. 
As merchandise for the brand, I created a tote bag that speaks to the politically charged and culturally central audience through the material used. This 'cheap' plastic material is used by South Africans all over the country to transport their belongings.
