Architecture HUB project in Cluj-Napoca realized in 3rd year of Architecture University.
We wanted a project that combines the building with the nature.
The building is composed of cubes of built spaces alternated with green cubes (terraces, courts etc). We left the ground floor free in order to provide a connection between two nearby parks. The ground floor could be used for workshops, events, exhibitions or as a social place. We also provided access to the Morii Canal from the ground floor plaza.
the library (up, right) is formed from smaller cubes and built around a tree, offering view towards the city, while the cowork space (down, right) is built from medium cubes, each hosting a private rental space.
In the basement, there are ruins of a tower from the old walls of the city. We wanted to expose them so they can be visible from the street, but also from all the functions situated in the basement.
Also, from the ground floor, there are stairs going down to the canal.
