How does one communicate the concept of queer? Queer for whom? What may be considered "queer" to some is just a normal everyday "thing" to others. So, with this in mind, I tried to find a theme of "everyday" normality that every one uses and is used to like a banal household appliance. The image in itself becomes "queer" as it's not what one would normally expect to see for a gay and lesbian film festival. It also expresses the banality of it all - that we're all the same human beings doing everyday normal things like mixing and toasting and baking cookies.
