Endangered Amur Leopard
With this project I started with the Amur Leopard and started to design a dynamic pose. I display the leopard with vibrant colors and full of life. Then with remorse I start to erase the drawing to reveal the skeleton. With lots of research and studies, I start to draw the details of the skeleton as accurately as I can. This process was very intimate for me as I drew each bone one at a time. The skeleton represents the percentage of the species left in the wild. For the Amur leopard there are only 254 left, 20% in the world are left.
As an animal advocate, my desire to educate my audience drives me to create pieces that provoke feelings and change. I created the Endangered animal project to bring awareness to the fading numbers of animals in the wild.
