This series of images was inspired by the Hieronymus Bosch’s painting Table of the Seven Deadly Sins. Appropriating images from Bosch’s painting and manipulating them through Photoshop I combining them with the medieval images of the punishment in hell for that particular sin and placed it behind the Bosch image. Using images of the animal that represents the sin I combined that with the Latin term for the sin and arranged all the elements in the form of something like an illuminated manuscript. Keeping with the idea of an illuminated manuscript I printed the images on parchment paper.
