Pavia Manouche Festival is an art event in Lombardy dedicated to a particular period of time in a history of jazz - Jazz Manouche.

Last yeas I was honoured to be responsible for the visual part of the first edition of the festival. First I designed some merchandise such as posters, postcards and stickers before the event.

I haven't been in Pavia before so had to use the internet for the inspiration. You can't imagine how excited I was when I was the town in person!

During the festival I started the second part of the project - watercolour sketches. The task was to depict the best moments of the day - the performance, the lindihop workshop and traditional aperitivo in the atmosphere of a melting Italian medieval town.

I must admire, the atmosphere was so friendly and joyful so I couldn't just sit and sketch, I gave up after one hour and started drinking aperol and dancing lindy hop! However, this gave me even more inspiration which I've turned into these vivid artworks.

This year I participate again, stay tuned if you want to see the 2020 edition!
