Blue rusted metal textures

You know what's a great place to capture textures? Houses being torn down. Back in July of 2014, an old condemned building was being demolished in the Cleveland neighborhood I was living in.

The first set of textures born out of this change of scenery is now available. Confession: I found the RAW files again after they were taking a long nap, in the depth of my many backup hard drives. Either way, here come the blue rusted metal textures.

There are thirty-five (35) base textures. If I remember properly, the blue rusted metal was from one of the dumpsters used to assemble the demolition debris. The textures have been edited using Camera Raw for lens distortion, lighting, orientation, and color correction.

Additionally, I've created black and white versions, in both a positive, and negative fashion, along with transparent PNG, and bitmap TIFF versions of these. That's a total two hundred and forty-five (245) assets.

The textures range from subtle, to extremely corroded. They can be used from background building, to masking, to overlays.

Did I mention there are other textures stemming from that event? More to come! You should sign up for the Shop's newsletter to find out more!
